It symbolizes Freely's versatility and resilience to withstand and triumph over any market conditions. The sky blue colour represents a young, growing company that exudes confidence, charisma and yet is modest and stable in its approach in capturing market share.

Dr. Clemen Chiang

Dr. Clemen Chiang is the founder and CEO of Freely Business School. The aim of Freely is to educate individuals interested in self-directed investing and to provide trading ideas for those already experienced in the markets.

Dr. Chiang was a recipient of the Shah Family Prize by Professor Haresh C. Shah of Stanford University for outstanding leadership and entrepreneurship qualities through extra-curricular activities and good academic standing. He was also awarded a certificate for his contributions in strengthening the spirit of ASEAN in the SIF-ASEAN Visiting Student Fellowship by Singapore International Foundation.

To date, he is a Fellow of American Academy of Financial Management, Fellow of Marketing Council Asia, Fellow of Chartered Management Institute, Fellow of International Professional Managers Association and Fellow of Chartered Institute of Marketing. He is appointed as a Chartered Marketer and is selected as an honored Member of the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO). Membership in EO is by invitation only. EO is a global community of business owners, all of whom run companies that exceed $1M (US) in revenue. Dr. Chiang is also awarded the MFP Charter as a Master Financial Professional approved by the American Academy of Financial Management. This is a worldwide professional organization chartered by professors, faculty and businessmen.

Dr. Chiang graduated in Civil Engineering from Nanyang Technological University,  Singapore . He received a Master of Business Administration Degree conferred by the University of Louisville,  Kentucky , USA . He also completed a PhD thesis entitled "Options Trading As An Income Strategy For Financial Freedom – An Action Research Approach" with Preston University, Alabama, USA.

Dr. Chiang has been widely featured on television, radio and in print, including CNBC Market Watch, CNBC Worldwide Exchange, Channel News Asia Money Mind, Radio 938 Live The Breakfast Club, The Business Times CEO's Notebook, The Sunday Times The Savvy Investor and Today Investor Profile. The Star in Malaysia featured Dr. Chiang as The Professional's Professional, The Executive in Singapore featured Dr. Chiang as its cover story for its inaugural issue, and other personality and commentary stories were also featured in reputable publications such as SWA Sembada, MillionaireAsia and Smart Investor.

Dr. Chiang is a regular contributor to The Business Times. He has written articles on "There's upside yet in S'pore property", "Preparing for a global market crash in 2009", "S is for stock-picking, the S-Curve way", "Making rising oil prices work for you", "How to Maximize Returns", "Towards Wealth Creation" and "The Psycho of Good Investing".

The Options Trading Championship was the brainchild of Dr. Chiang and was organized under the flagship of Freely Business School. This event is the first "real-money" and live trading championship supported by all the options exchanges in the US , as well as other leading options markets in the world. Officially supporting the Championship from the United States of America are the Chicago Board Options Exchange, New York Stock Exchange Arca Options, American Stock Exchange, Philadelphia Stock Exchange, International Securities Exchange and Boston Options Exchange. In addition, the world's largest and most diverse financial exchange with the greatest options and futures contracts open interest, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group, and the world's largest derivatives market, Eurex, also supported the event.

Under Dr. Chiang's mentorship, the Live Freely Program which he founded in 2003, has successfully imparted the mastery of applying winning options strategies & methodologies to more than 20,000 individuals across the region. Freely is now the most established options trading seminar in Asia, and Dr. Chiang has also been independently rated by Nielsen//NetRatings as the top money and stock options coach in Singapore, and now across Asia.

In 2002, Dr Chiang was bestowed the "Key to the City" of Louisville by Mayor David L. Armstrong. This is an award to honor esteemed visitors, local residents, and organizations. This honor involves the ceremonial presentation of an ornamental key as shown below.
